First flight of a Swiftlight-E registered in France

March the 28th, in Burgundy, Michel Paté had his first flight with his electric powered Swiftlight-E. He was able to take off from the short model-airplane concrete runway, and fly in the weak early spring thermals.

France is relatively late with the introduction of the Swiftlight-E; there has been already the Electric Swiftlight designed by David Chaumet, but up to now, it has not yet been commercialized.

ADPUL will work with the french free flight federation (FFVL) and the french Aviation Authorities (DGAC) to get simplified operating rules for those kind of special ultralights, who basically are ultralight gliders.
