Back to the Ecrins

The Ecrins mountain range is in a national park, it is a restricted area, but
free flight gliders have an exemption from July 1st, but not in the Lauvitel area in blue on the map
– and gliders have corridors to cross the restricted area all the year long.

First flight of the year into the Ecrins in early May for jac:
Entry into the restricted area via the braun corridor at Orcières Merlette, then exit via the green corridor; then entry again via the red corridor.

10 days later, the so called “Parcours Royal”: the braun corridor from Orcières Merlette till the Meije; in fact the main ridge of the Ecrins mountain range which highest point is the Barre des Ecrins 4100m

Wish you were here 😀
